CPR is the hardest part of the resuscitation process and well performed chest compressions can be crucial in preparing the heart tissue for successful defibrillation and maintaining an oxygen supply to the brain and other vital organs.
Learning how to handle and operate an AED/Defibrillator gives rescuers the confidence to access the unit quickly and follow the simple voice and visual instructions effectively and efficiently during an emergency situation.
During our 90 minute course, students will learn about:
- Heart Conditions leading to Cardiac Arrest
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Basic Life Support & CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation)
- Resuscitation Council Guidelines
- Safe use of an AED

Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
*If the first Monday of the month falls on a public holiday, the course will take place on the first Tuesday of the month at the same time.
